I've heard good things about the QW 757.

Would be great to see a repaint of that.

I've picked up some payware which (after the NG Website is launched) I'll hopefully take a crack at (CLS MD81/82, Aerosoft AirbusX, Just Flight A318), but I don't have the Quality Wings aircraft (yet). I do have the Captain Sim 757 but it's a frame rate killer and probably best suited to FS2004 where frames are higher.

A good request there Ted.

I see there's a QW Bae146 (yay) and 787 in the works (no 787 in our fleet yet of course).

While I am certainly no expert I really think the QW 757 package is utterly awesome.

-Native FSX with both steam/retrofit glass VC/2D panels (No real FPS hit that I can see on my machine)
-Stable software with excellent support
-While not PMDG-level systems-wise there is still plenty to play with and the FMC is very well done and Navigraph-supported.
-Flies great and the sounds are incredible.

That QW BAe146 should be well done too; however, I am not sure if they are delivering a cargo model as of yet.

An EHH QW757 is actually high on my 'to-do'-list.

The waiting however until now was for the HD paintkit. When she was launched a paintkit was in fact delivered, however this one catered for 1024x1024 textures only, where the QW aircraft can handle 2048x2048 textures. And i didn't want to do all the work twice...

As a matter of fact downloaded the HD paintkit last night so in the near future (providing real-life time...) you may see a QW757 EuroHolidays repaint here in the forum (want to finally fly her myself as well!  Grin )

Cheers,
Stef

Awesome and looking forward to that.

Sounds like a pretty good reason to add the -200F to the cargo fleet  Wink

You'll have to take that up with Dominic, but to boost your case, you'd need a freeware -200F (high quality) to go with it, preferably for all the sims with VC.

I know he has fleet revamp plans up his sleeve though to improve the fleet for all our pilots. Myself, I would prefer a different aircraft flavour to one we already have flying as a pax version, but maybe that's just me.

Hi David,

DA Fokker 100? Sorry but can only refer to my to-do list once again, which in fact isn't really getting any shorter... It's there though and will happen. Just can't say when  Sad

Used the PSS/Justflight B757 a lot back in my FS9 days as well. Great aircraft, just sorry it went so down-hill with PSS afterwards. Promising bunch back in those days! The (my) PSS/Justflight repaint is available from the EHM repaint page so am afraid you'll have to make due with that one until i get the QW757 repaint ready for release. Since i almost exclusively fly FSX these days have bought the QW757 to also have a decent 757 for FSX use. Just the repaint was missing/couldn't get started on due to (paintkit-)reasons mentioned above.

Unfortunately however nowadays more then previously pressed for (real life) time. Therefore can't spend as much time re-painting as maybe i would like to. Nonetheless have some in the pipeline so stay tuned.

Cheers,
Stef

Thanks a lot Stef for your response and for sharing your time in EHM. In fact I used the PSS/JflightB752 and for me is ok. I mean I don't have to many experience with aircraft addons. I only use the FS9 in this moment: PMDG Beech1900D, PC-12 Flight1,  ATR75 F1, and time to time PSS/B752, nevertheless I expect to try DAFokker70, because I only fly in EHM colors, and could-be... it depends time as you said, i'll fly FeelthereA320,  F1 SuperMD80 and PMDG/B738, I mean in the future and time to time.

Thanks again Stef Smiley

Just an update on my recent activities:

This is where i am now with the QualityWings B757-200. True, guess also it won't be long anymore before she can go out to you public, but for sure until then i will find some further details to 'touch-up' here and there so she isn't ready to get out of the hangar just yet. When, then will announce in separate post.

Have also checked the possibilities of getting on with the Fokker 100. Bad news: plane is (like also the Fokker 70) too short for the EHM wing to fit between plane's wing and the engine. Had hoped it would fit on the larger -100, but no... Good news though: still have to investigate in detail, but it could possibly be i can 're-use' the Fokker 70 engines for the -100! Could save me about... three weeks of tedious fiddling? Still need to see, but it just maybe possible. Fingers crossed.

Since two weeks now i have changed the software i'm working with on my repaints. Previously i was always using Gimp, but now i have finally cut-the-knot and got myself Photoshop CS5. Has cost me a bl**dy fortune, but sofar it was absolutely worth it and am happily experimenting with the endless possibilities it offers - and guess will be doing so for looong time to come...  Grin

So far for now.

Cheers,
Stef

Depends on a repainter getting a copy and then having the time to move on it. Making your desires known is a first step though, so wait and see.

I'll merge this with the repaint request thread

No problem at all Kevin. Have yet to look at the Wilco A340 as the two varients supplied differ from that which is on the Euroharmony site.
Be sure to let me know if you find any issues with the textures as my system is not the strongest and would be slightly concerned about the level of detail on a stronger system.
