Fuel problems in FSX
«

I am having a problem with the fuel usage in FSX, some of the freeware aircraft will run out of fuel once the centre tank goes empty alhough the wing tanks are still full, the strange thing is that if you start the flight with the centre tank empty you can start the engines and complete the flight, this is a real pain when I want to do a long haul flight that requires fuel in the centre tank. Is anyone else suffering the same problem, my operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. I know that I could fly with unlimited fuel but that is not correct.

I found this on a Google search:-

Maybe you need to look at your default flight when you start FSX?

I have found a work around the fuel problem, After loading your aircraft set the fuel in the centre tank to zero this will cause the engines to stop, once stopped re-start the engines and they will run off the other tanks, once all engines are running you can go to the fuel/payload section and put your additional fuel in the centre tank, the engines now run on the centre tank but they now will continue to run even when the centre tank goes empty. I have tried this on the MD11, A380 and the B752 and it worked for all the aircraft.
