For those of you not really following X-Plane 10, here are some more shots of the upcoming sim (work in progress, default autogen scenery).

Some more information on the Aerosoft European tweaked version:

Quote
The version sold by Aerosoft is a special European version that includes some additional scenery. We included high detail scenery for Nice (LFMN), Paderborn-Lippstadt (EDLP) and Faro (LPFR) and have added many buildings to London-Heathrow (EGLL), Paris Orly (LFPO), Frankfurt (EDDF) and Zurich (LSZH). The default Autogen scenery is also slightly adapted to give a better impression of European landscapes. Additionally many of the Mega Airport products will be available at a reduced for owners of the FS2004 or FSX versions.

Of course the version bought from us will be the latest version that includes all updates that will be available at the moment of shipping and will include a printed manual, 8 double layer DVD’s and a luxury metal box. We will also be shipping a version on hard disk in 2012 but the current shortage of affordable hard disks has put that project on hold for the moment. X-Plane will be available early next year from Aerosoft.com.

OMG

1140 hrs EST News flash from Robert: PMDG has both their 737NGx and 747/400 for X-Plane 10 on display in beta form. More to come as Robert reports in. (update: read Roberts report for the real scoop here)

Source: http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2011/11/06/xp10reviews-lelystad-fsweekend-coverage/

But then in the comments:

Quote
PMDG don’t have a beta of their products for X-plane, but they have received a copy of X-plane 10 beta two days ago, “they are looking to it and working on that” of converting their 737 and 747 to X-plane. So no guarantees, but a step in the right direction!
I’m sorry for the initial confusion, a problem of using text messaging…

Downloading it now  Smiley

The screenshots look great but the write-up suggests you'll need a lot of CPU cores to get a good experience with XP10?

It's scalable, so the more power you have, the better settings you can use. It's a case where spending money allows you to buy more frames.

On lower settings it should run on a computer that can run x-plane 9.

The more cores you have, the more it is able to spead flight calculation load and atc stuff without impacting on cpu resources for other parts of the sim, in that with more cores you can turn more features on / up without seeing a frame rate hit.

Remember that while x-plane 10 is being released 7th December 2011 by laminar, I recommend people wait and purchase the Aerosoft European version which should be released in January. This version will be more stable than the 10.0 release and will include a number of European customisations such as autogen, three high quality airports and additional object placement on a number of other big euro airports such as EGLL. That's what I intend to do.

69.99 Eur

http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=11971&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight+Simulation&s_language=english

Shipping to uk is free as the price is over the 45 EUR threshold.

Direct from laminar without euro enhancements is $79.99 USD + shipping + duty but you can have sooner.

tick the beta box when updating. Performance and cloud / atc improvements are better than the 'stable'.

Mine arrived yesterday, and I'm installing it right now (2 of 6 billion...). First Flight Simulator on this PC, and it's only Laminar Research product that will be going on this machine... Wink

Hmm... Didn't get asked about installing Stable or Beta... Got 10.03r2 installed and that's all she wrote.
