EHM-1617 Iain:
Chris - load up teamspeak on it's own. Click settings > Sound Input/Output Settings. Find the local test section and click activate local test mode. Then press your PTT Push to Transmit key and speak into your mic. You will hear out of the speakers what your transmission is like.

Anonymous:
ah yeah i have done this and see what you mean.  although then realised that the reason my sound was so quite was becasuse it was using my camera mic.  have changed to my other mic and now is better, but still unclear...will by a new mic this weekend!

EHM-1627 Chris:
sorry that was me, forgot to log in

EHM-0654 Murray:
Chris (and all new pilots to the online flying experience),

I've said this before, and I'll say it again now; get yourself a headset with a boom mic. It doesn't need to be an overly expensive one (my piloting headset is a Beyer Dynamics DT109 - retail cost over £190, but my ATC headset is a Plantronics £20 job from Argos - most people wouldn't notice the difference in quality)

EHM-1539 Pierre:
Race ? Gonna take an X-15 ^^
Or run orbiter and lift off with Vostok, drop the main tank a few seconds later, drop everything, and land with parachutes a few mins later at the destination :|

I agree with murray about the Plantronics, it's the quality reference.
Using a plantronics myself, it's old so the mic is broken, using my webcam mic instead, working fine (the mic is really sensitive).
