Trip to Manchester!

(1/2) > >>

EHM-1358 Tim:
Well, the shots arn't great, I won't blame it totally on my camera, but there was bad light, and some backlighting...

Well I went down Manchester at about 12 O'clock on Sunday... When my car pulled up into the AVP we saw PIA 777 taking off. Then when I was walking to one of the viewing mounds I saw a US Airways 330 take off.  :o Gutted!

Well I had my dinner and then just watched the planes!

Some nice rotating shots (IMO)...

I got lots of pics and have just got to get a proper camera! Well anyway, we got bored with the AVP, so we dicided to go and look for somewere else, 3 O'clock came! :D Runway 24L was now open, so we decided to go and there, at first its just a gootpatch, but very soon you get right on the runway, very close!

You don't need a powerful zoom here! I just love the sound of the Airbus eingines!

Heres a view do the runway...

Love this tail!

I hope you liked 'em! i will be going back oneday to that spot! :D And hopefully with a better camera.

EHM-1437 Jon:
I thought those pictures looked excellent.  But if you are going to get a new camera, send me your old one, because it looks to me like those pictures came out great!

EHM-1657 Jay:

EHM-1617 Iain:
Im guessing thoses 747s must have been lightly loaded. Do you get a lot of them at manchester.

Living near Oxford airport we get no jets at all :( But we get the tankers from Brize Norton Military Airfield.
