What Happend to the 3 European tours

When read this first thing this morning I almost replied "DUH!" and left it at that (thankfully, I was too sleep hungover to be bothered ;D )

For much the same reasons the World Tours disappeared; they weren't overly "popular" (read "not flown all that much" )

As such were removed , and we got additional themed tours instead.

I think the themed tours are great - they are really accessible because they are relatively short flights and the tour is over quite quickly.
I guess the reason European tours and World tours were flown less regularly were because they involved quite an investment of time that not everybody was able to give.
I know when I have finished the current run of tours - no doubt a year or two down the line - I'll have a 'what next?' feeling.
I was certainly an advocate of letting folks refly tours and claim hours if not the awards themselves the second time. I guess I also would be for the introduction of a couple of seriously time intensive tours that folks fly over months instead of weeks.

And don't forget, we don't want people just flying tours, there is a timetable you know.

I'm not saying that people shouldn't fly tours, but before the big crash it got to the point where something like 8 out of every 10 flights flown were tour flights.

not popular enough ... that a pitty ... cuz i sure as hell did fly both the world and the european tours....

I'm currently flying the capitals of europe tour..that's a great one 2....

But the other tours... I don't really know yet ... they are all with those VFA aircraft...I think we should be able to choose the aircraft ourselves.... I don't know, I don't really like small planes and TP's.... but that's just me .. I'm more of a JE aircraft....  note that the COE tour is the only one that can be flown with non VFA planes
