EHM-1358 Tim:
Hi before I start flying online with IVAO. Im going to try and cram all the info I need in my head. But I know that you need charts but I have no idea how to read them. To me the see jibberish (yes its a word, i think). So could you people tell me how to read them or a site that would.

Thanks
Tim

EHM-1036 Ian:
Hi Tim

Thers a full explaination of reading charts in the IVAO  I-pack
http://www.ivao.org/training/tutorials/Ipack/Files/L5-Charts.htm

You can also check out Computer pilot. They have sample articles on there web site which explain some charts. the link is WWW.computerpilot.com and look at sample articles. Has interpreting Instrument Approach plates, flying a DME arc, and basic navigation. Its a great magazine, and well worth the subsription.

Hmmmmm... Interesting. Now if only I could find a document describing holds and holding pattern procedures from the ATC point of view... :D
