EHM-1670 Bill:
If NL2000 is installed correctgly you should have a folder called feature_panel within the nl2000_V2_91 folder. In that is an exec file Featurepanel.exe. Run that and on the NL2000 Misc tab check the box for NL2000 altitude-FS2004 which will reset the height of the AI.

You are a star, I have trawled here there and everywhere trying to sort this but had never realized this utility was included.
