EHM-1507 Manuel:
Hi Folks!

I need fast help!!! I´m Enroute EPWA - EDDH at present in an Airbus A320
and I found out somehow the alt selector of my autopilot started ti counts up in steps of  1000 feet and not in steps of 100 anymore....

What shall I do to fix it..... :o :o :o

Greets!

Manu

EHM-1507 Manuel:
alright, so I need a little more help :o

As I approached at EDDH, I decided to do a visual, cause I might miss the localizer because of the problem above.

and so I turned off the autopilot and autothrottle to take command of the airplane.
But in this moment, enginepower turned to TOGA and I wasn´t able to put it back. I put the throttle on my jojstick to zero, but nothing happened, I´ve completely lost the control of my two engines.

Could anyone explain something like that????

EHM-1703 Philip:
Manuel,

Are you using the PSS Airbus? If so you need to disengage Flight Director and then depress the "-" (Minus) key on your numeric keypad until your throttles sit in the idle position and then disengage Autothrust or Autothrottle. Only now can you manually adjust the throttle control on your Joystick. (The Airbus term for this is Open Flight mode and is discouraged unless absolutely necessary) Also make sure you Speed is not below Vref otherwise the computers will engage "A Floor" mode where the flight computer predicts a stall situation and compensates by opening the throttles to the TOGA setting.

Hope that helps

EHM-1554 Chris:
Hi, I also have this problem with all acft when i am using Active sky and i do not set the de- ice equipment on, the airpssed goes to 45 and my throlltes stay full open, i usually leave pitot on for 2 mins and it sorts it out
