EHM Video - Second attempt

(1/2) > >>

EHM-1703 Philip:
Ok guys, here's my next version.

This uses some of the footage from the first video, but I recreated the flight and filmed some more footage.

The Flight
It was a clear day at Heathrow, starting from gate 212 we taxied out to RWY09R. From here we left on the Brookmans Park 5 Juliet departure. After BPK we flew direct to Lambourne and flew the LAM3A arrival to RWY09L. After arrival we taxied to gate 206 and shutdown.

The Specifics
During the flight I made use of the following
Aircraft:               PMDG 737-800 EHM Repaint
Scenery:             Heathrow Pro by Gary Summons
Camera:              Active Camera V2.1
Video Recorder:  FRAPS
Video Editing:     MS Movie Maker
Filesize:              17mb
Duration:            4 minutes 15 seconds

hope you like it, let me know what you think, I have a higher quality version (32mb) that I will post later.

EHM-1465 Dominic:
Phil,

Brilliant mate - real development from the first version - much smoother and more professional. There is a danger of changing angle too often, lots of nice transitions but it can break up the 'narrative'... I really like the take-off from the VC view and the gear down shot on approach. Good music too !

Keep on filming mate, a video like this really shows off the airline nicely... Once again, well done on a great job !

EDIT: Just downloaded the HQ version  - highly recommended to all, it really does Phil's work justice on the full screen - this is what flight simming is all about !!!

EHM-1703 Philip:
Thanks for the comments Dom.

I know what you mean about changing the camera too often and the transitions. it gets a bit confusing and breaks things up too much. After about 6 hours on this little baby today, I have learnt a bit more. My mistake was trying to cram too much in to the soundtrack time. In the next video I will use longer clips and less changes, also less harsh transitions, a simple fade between scenes seems to suffice.

As I have the NL2000 scenery installed I will try a flight from EHAM to EGLL. EHAM is a bit of a framerate killer on my machine so I will have to see how it goes. Also I would like to recruit some actors to get a bit of excitement in it. If anyone fancies an impromptu mess around on IVAO sometime let me know, I would love to get a few EHM planes in close proximity.

EHM-1703 Philip:
By the way, If the HQ link does not work, let me know as it will be deleted if not downloaded after a while.
