HUB Australia
EHM-1612 Paolo:
You're completely right. Even if EHM has to develop, I would like to see EHM always in Europe. I think that the new Atlanta's hub is a big new, but one hub outside europe is enough. I prefer Euroharmony not worldharmony...

I think 'invaded' is quite a strong way of describing other fellow sim pilots joining us in our hobby from elsewhere in the world. They may not arrive as a bunch either ... it may be individuals joining to see what we have to offer ;)
We already have a smattering of non-european members and we should encourage this - whether it be by opening other Hubs or simply being welcoming to all nationalities in this forum. The international dimension is a key factor here - how fantsatic that we have members all over Europe and potentially the world working together to enjoy a great hobby. :>

Of course it is, Phil!! You're right; 'invaded' was not the right word, but I'm sure you all get the picture. When EuroHarmony announced that it was opening a new HUB outside Europe, I was quite skeptical about EuroHarmony expanding its borders beyond the European continent, but when I heard it was to open in America I was quite happy about it (being an American pilot). I'm sure that same feeling can be experienced by other pilots of other nationalities.
I'm just glad I can be here to watch this awesome airline grow!!! ;D
EHM-0361 Karsten:
Yes 'invaded' is not the right word to use. And if that was the case, then that ship sailed a long time ago. If I remember correctly one of the first pilots the joined EHM back in 2001 when the company started, was an American. So EHM has in that way never really been 'all european.' I really think thats a good thing. And until now we have pulled in those pilots without the use of Hubs outside Europe.
Now we have turned a new leaf and started to expand by the use of an American Hub. I guess that had to happen sooner or later, I mean it been the subject of a few debates over the years, most of them before the crash in 2004. I guess I'm still very skeptical about the MT strategy. I think that we should keep a cool head and see how the American Hub develops. I mean at the moment it don't really look like it's pulling that many new pilots in.
Should we have a Hub in Australia? I think we should, at some time. That might be next year or in ten years. However if you ask me I don't really see any idea in opening more hubs in Europe. Well perhaps if we where to have one it should be somewhere in eastern europe. But I think we should be careful not just opening a new hub, because we want to expand or do something for some pilot from a special country or part of the world. There are no fun in having 24 hubs around the world, if the only pilot in most of them is the Hub Captain and perhaps 2 - 3 other pilots. I think that the best thing for all of us is to have the right amount of hubs and that those are so to talk strong and healty hubs.
EHM-1199 Philip:
You're right Karsten. The growth of EHM drives the need for new hubs.
