pmdg 747-400 beacon light

EHM-1738 Len:
When i start the engines i get a penalty for starting without beacon lights on but its turned on, could someone plz help me with this, can't find something about it on the forum

Hi Len, Sorry, I dont have the QOS so I couldn't comment. I know we have light problems with the PSS Airbuses that can't be cured, so I know I am not going to get a perfect PP score when using them! Sorry I couldn't help more.

Doh ! I did about 3-4 flights with it monthes ago but I did not got that penalty...but now it appears, anything I do :o

Edit: Doh ! I remember now I have not flown it yet before on PP...

Unfortunately the standard O key do not control the Strobes either, also the Nav lights are not controlled with L key, so it seems these 3 lights we need for PP are controlled somehow inside the model, and not in the standard way :s

how about starting flight simulator, turn off your engines, and then start flight logger. That way, you can start the lights before the log starts because the engines are off, and the log starts when you switch your language on

Well, that is the normal procedure...that just does not work on this model :(
