Airplanes\' name
EHM-1703 Philip:
I would rather be the pilot of a plane called Maddona than a plane called THATCHER!
LOL :)
Hey now theres an idea, World leaders! We could have a B1900 called Blair, I would happily crash that on PP and live with the consequences! lol
EHM-1671 Ben:
Good idea, Phil. Just imagine a 737 named 'Roosevelt'. State of the art cockpit, but the engines don't work!! ;D We've got something good going here, lol.
EHM-0005 Maarten:
To avoid political discussions here in the EHM forums, I think it's better not to name aircraft after politicians.
And modern names? I think we'll have a collective suïcide here at EHM, because who really wants to fly an aircraft named Madonna? (or imagine: Britney Spears, Miss Piggy, Bert & Ernie, Brad Pitt etc. etc.)
EHM-0654 Murray:
Maarten, I'd love to have a 738 called "Bert & Ernie". Robert!?!? ;D
Are we all in a funny mood this morning, or is it just me?
EDIT: Following on from Robert's "DJ Bobo" suggestion below, "MC Skibadee"...
EHM-1001 Robert:
Hehe, nice comments...
back on track. The question is not stupid, but impossible with the most aircraft models. In the Microsoft models you can add your own tail-id that will appear on the plane tail. It is an XML code, or I do not know fo sure, but it is hardcoded into the visual model.
Since the add-on models do not contain this feature, we cannot use it. If they had, you could fly under any name you set. But why did not you ask: in ProPilot we have only 1 tail-ID for all the planes ? ;) It is the same problem. It would be nice to present all the different names and tail-ids, but we cannot.
About the names, there surely will not be artist names you mentioned :) But if we are going crazy, I would like to see a "Hanzel & Gratel" 737 :P ...or a "DJ Bobo" ;D
