There should be a gauge in the plane telling you how many gallons your burning per hour. Use that, with how long your flight is.

The guage is FF, or fuel flow (per hour). There is a rough estimate as to how far away you are from your arrival airport in the handheld GPS, so the hours from your destination x the indicated fuel flow should give you your total fuel consumtion for a flight.

The downside of this being that you actually have to be in the air for this to happen, which (on a class 7 flight) may be too late to go back and get some more!! ;D

By the way, what is a C280B? I've never heard of it!
