Very Noobish question
EHM-E4S:
I feel really stupid asking this, as i know the answer is in my head.
I used to fly with FMC alot, as I had the 737 800-900 expansion pack, and I usually buy scenery expansions, not aircraft.
This was about 1 and a half years ago. The CD of the 737 snapped. I picked it up, and didn't notice the other side was stuck, and then it snapped.
I never thought of buying it again until when i joined here, so yesterday, I saw it in a shop cut down to £9! I bought it, and have forgotten completely how the FMC works.
I've been studying about it all of today, and did that flight they give you from Hamburg to Munich, and it was a success, so I think I'll be able to get it flying by the heathrow event.
The only problem is, I fly via Isecs and VORS. In the FMC, they tell want you to tell them what the airway is in between the ISECS. I've forgotten how to do this. Can somebody please explain this?
EHM-1617 Iain:
Head over to http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/. This generates valid real-world routes between airports, using airways. Check the RAD box to ensure that possible errors in the routes are spotted, which need to be manually checked and excluded is necessary.

do you mean the popular PMDG model or another?
Good Luck with airways routeings ;)
EHM-0654 Murray:
Umm... Haven't used the PMDG FMC in a while, but...
The PSS 777 insists on the airways being entered separately from the endpoints (so UZ16 on the left, MTL on the right), but the Project Magenta FMC allows the entry of both at the same time (enter UZ16.MTL and put it on the left, it fills the right correctly)
Try the PM method to see if it works, if not it just "doubles up" on the entries is all...
EHM-E4S:
It is the PMDG 737
Thanks guys!
The routefinder is brilliant!
I'm afraid murray it doesn't seem to work that way. Stupid different FMC's! but thanks for the suggestion!
EHM-1001 Robert:
In the PMDG FMCs you need to enter the waypoint (NAV, NDB or fix, or intersection) to the right side of the list, and the rjetway sign to the left side.
If you put a waypoint first, on the left side the DIRECT sign will appear, but that can be a very zig-zag route sometime :). If you know the jetway number, you can put it 1st, or after the waypoint it does not matter. If the FMC finds a connection between the last and next waypoint on the given jetway, it will make the route nicely. It can connect even VOR radios on the same jetway with 5-6 intersections between them, only by putting the 2 VOR stations, and the connecting jetway number to the plan. ;)
