EHM-0654 Murray:
Javier,

;D

By the sound of it you copied my IVATNL example, so yes, you would have connected to IVATNL. If you've got IvAe installed, it's "Network" tab lists all active network and TS servers, so you've lots of opportunity to test your TS installation. (Edit: noticed in IvAe that the voice network is called IVAT, not IVAN)

EHM-1821 Javier:
Thanks;D

Now to get online flying;D

EHM-0654 Murray:
Javier,

Welcome to the flock. Once you get the whole flying online thing, you'll rarely want to fly offline.

As Matt intimated, the "hard" part of flying online is getting the procedures/phraseology correct; after that it's just pointing the airplane in the right direction (which you should already know how to do ;))

Read through the OFM a few times, then pick a quiet airfield that has control and fly a local flight (an VFR or IFR circuit, or a short field-to-field hop) - your best bet would be flying from a small field when a local CTR controller in online and doesn't have a lot of traffic; CTRs tend to have higher ATC ratings and as such can offer you far more advice.

Don't forget to add a remark to your flightplan that you are new to online flying ("RMK NEWBIE" always works) and that way all ATC should be a lot more forgiving.

EHM-1821 Javier:
I've never flown circuits before...

If IFR, do they tell you to turn when you have to?

I am a total newbie at this;)

EHM-1358 Tim:
They shouldn't need to.

Take off, call airborne.

Turn left or right, keep flying, the left or right again, call downwind.

Fly until the runway is 45deg over your shoulder, turn base, call base, radio will clear you to turn final, turn and call final, then they give you clearence to land or touch and go.
