PMDG B-737-800
EHM-1633 José:
Hi there! Yesterday at the department store I saw the PMDG B-737-800 box. You may find this question stupid, but I wonder if PMDG´s 738 is easier to fly (I mean: setting FMC etc...) than PMDG B-737-600/700, which I already have and I´m not able to use properly.
Could anyone give me some advice?
EHM-1703 Philip:
It's basically the same product with diferent Flight Dynamics and a different external view. (Including the winglets!) If you are struggling with the 736/7 then you will have the same trouble with the 738/9. If you look on the PMDG forums there are a lot of tutorials and hints on how to use it and you get great satisfaction from it when you do it properly. Also, upgrading to the PMDG 744 becomes much easier once you have mastered the 737 NG. My advice, stick with it and if all else fails ask questions here as a lot of members use this plane and can probably help you out mate.
EHM-1908 Steve:
Once you have mastered one FMC it becomes much easier to do others ie PMDG 737 747 ,Level D 767 or PSS Airbus
EHM-1633 José:
Thanks guys. What really happens to me is that the FMC asks me for a lot of data I have to introduce. And mainly everytime I don´t know the wind direction and speed at my cruise altitude, as well as the air temperature... etc. So possibly I didn´t explained myself completely; I think I can manage to use the FMC, but as I have some lack of data, It´s not possible to use it properly. What do you do when you introduce the parameters (if you don´t know them all)? Sometimes I´ve tried to invent them but the result isn´t satisfactory.
Any advice, please?:%
EHM-1343 Jonathan:
well...you dont need to input data like winds and speeds, you can input that when you get up there, just leave it blank on departure.
