The new flight simulator is a step away from a real flight simulator and big step towards a game.

I haven't downloaded the demo, so I can only judge from what I have heard from others. But I think I would agree with Sven, flightsim is not a game. And even if this isn't the finished product, I don't think that this part is going to change much. I think I'm going to stick to my FS9 a year or two. Unless Santa brings me a new state of the art computer.:P

I just did my first mission, which is the Intermediate mission. The landing at Julia International. It wasn't a very good landing, but I did get on the ground. A few months ago, I got the best graphics card available in the UK, and the guy who installed it also gave me more memory (if I somehow got my parents to pay lol) so I have now got a very powerful computer, and it probably could hold FSX, but the reason I'm telling you this is because don't feel too bad about graphics etc. because I have taken screenshots of that flight, and it's really no different. I'm not very impressed with FSX demo, because really, the grpahics aren't too good, but hopefully, the rest of the world in FSX will be alot better. Anyway, here's my screenshots:

I havent downloaded the demo yet, what does the demo allow you to do?

It just allows you to fly around St Marten in the Caribbean and try a couple of the missions that will be included. It has a 30 minute time span so after you have been running the program for that long it closes down. Peresonally I think the water effects are fantastic, clouds are good, almost as good as active sky 6, ground environment isn't much different although I have heard that the demo has shiped with the 20m mesh and the final version will be a 1m mesh.

Yeah the water looks amazing, my favorite part of it :) and ofcourse the clouds:P
