(1/3) > >>

EHM-1651 Christian:
Read today that Ryanair is makin a offer for Aerlingus at 2,80euros per share. Making the value of Aerlingus 1.481bn euros

Ryanair press release

EHM-1980 Brian:
yeah heard that on the radio this morning driving into work - imagine that Irelands ' former official state airline ' being taken over by a low cost - no frills airline! not sure it'll happen though......

EHM-1651 Christian:
Well the Aerlingus stocks have been going up from 2.38€ on 27.09 to 2.90€ today after the bid from Ryanair Holdings so the bid is now 0.10€ under the highest trade price at the Irish stock Exchange today.  Aerlingus and Ryanair is the most traded stocks on exchange today with Aerlingus as number 1.

EHM-1633 José:
I´ve also heard that Aerlingus requested to leave OneWorld Alliance because it was planning to change its business philosophy to a model similar to a low-cost airline. I don´t know if this is true, but in case it really is, Ryanair would have more chances to take Aerlingus under control, or even merge together!!:o

EHM-1152 Thomas:
Well I've just heard that Ryanairs offer was turned down as Aer Lingus felt that the offer was not big enough due to the growth potential of their company!
