It's certainly a darn sight prettier than when I last saw it...

If only PM would get on and make their IPCServer so you could use the GC software with it... I'd forget FSX all together.

Great shots,

Some images from the flight.
The first shows Mont Blanc from the Italian Side looking fantastic.

After making a left turn down a valley, we came into some very nice foothills, however it got a bit bumpy with AS6 enabled.

@Conrad: Last question, is that the default Alpine scenery, or the Global Scenery Europe?

Global Scenery Europe (went for the 8 DVD package from X-plane.com (world scenery))

around 69 $$ or so, but thats like 45 quid. Around 60 GB of scenery if you install all the global scenery packages :D

also, thats with most of my sliders down at low :D so - think of the possibilities with max :D

Just waiting for my Ram to arrive and then the sliders are going up ;)

Yes, that's the one I'm looking at... Not that I've got 60GB to spare :)

A new, fast, big SATA HD and X-Plane + Global Scenery... hmm...

It takes some time getting used to, Ie, you dont have airport buildings unless you download freeware scenery or use a MS2XP (converter) but the weather systems and various things are just amazing, so many variables to customize, will upload  some more shots later ;)

One of my favorites, exceed those flap speeds/ g force / anything, you will pay lol!

Last night, my flaps were torn off when i was climbing out of heathrow with a Beluga ;)

Nice! Think I might buy X-Plane...

But you didn't show the runway at Courchevel!

How are the frames? Better than FS2004? And is it a resource hog?

Well, I was too busy, laughing at Razza :P :P :P

Well RAM wise it would like alot of that, but CPU cycles, mine are down at 39% with a p4 2.66Ghz

Im waiting for my extra module of 512mb to arrive and then i can maximise it. At the moment on 768mb ram, it was using around 300mb ram, and around 1.2 gb of pagefile.

Frames are good, i usually sit around 25fps (more than i got with MS).

But im not here to persuade anyone lol, just pics lol. Still i think i will keep FS running in the background when i get the erge for pmdg.

One thing to remember, X-plane has many ups and downs like MS, and i suggest you research on forums and look at things before completely buy it to make sure its right for you ;)

But if you want to know anything, just ask on skype or here ;)

But we will see ;)

Conners, are you aware of the B738 by Benedikt Stratman for X-Plane? Opinions? (It's the only one I could easily find using Google...)

If I'm going to think about this seriously I need one plane (a B738) and then any of the rest of the fleet I can find as I pass along is a bonus - particularly a 772ER or a 744, and of course anything from the VFA fleet. (Already found a Falcon 2000, my current fav business jet)

Tbh mate i really havnt looked into the aircraft at the moment, but some very good sites:

forums.xplane.com (downloads at top right)

http://www.xplanefreeware.net

Some very good aircraft here ;)

As such FMC's, i think there is a 738 coming out very soon with a fully functional FMC, but not sure where i read that lol
