Dear pilots,

We have a new event on ProPilot.
The Event is going to start at Luanda airport, at 10th November and ends at Beirut Airport at 24th.
So, if you want to join, send an email to bruno@fly-euroharmony.com in order to receive your airplane.

Remeber, don't crash your airplane.
We suggest you start practising with the MD-17 Cargo UNHCR airplane as soon as possible. Try visual landings at most.
Also, if you have some problems landing it, try to decrease the realism settings on the airplane so you can be more hard on the landings.
Also, always view the landing runway before doing the flight, because some default sceneries have some problems on some aerodromes that we use.
Install all the required sceneries that we have on the EVENTS page. They will help you on this part.

Can we fly all flights online (and submit PIREPs on ivao)? Since FS time is in our control, we can change FS time when flying online even though the actual time is not correct.

and i just found out that the plane's wheels dont touch the ground, anyone with this problem?

I editted the cfg file for the first 3 contact points(landing gear) to:

point.0 = 1.000, 56.000, 0.000, -12.500, 1000.000, 0.000, 1.800, 70.000, 0.500, 2.500, 0.900, 9.000, 8.000, 0.000, 220.000, 250.000
point.1 = 1.000, -7.000, -16.000, -14.000, 2000.000, 1.000, 2.000, 13.000, 3.000, 2.500, 0.900, 11.000, 9.000, 2.000, 220.000, 250.000
point.2 = 1.000, -7.000, 16.000, -14.000, 2000.000, 2.000, 2.000, 13.000, 3.000, 2.500, 0.900, 11.000, 9.000, 3.000, 220.000, 250.000

Thanks for that Javier, I'll see if my airplane's gear has issues and see what happens.

I just got through installing all those must have files for the scenery. Quite a lot to get through! But I bet the tour will make it all worth it. I can't wait to start the event. The countdown to Friday begins!

I now realized that the UNCHR-Event is a ProPilot-Event - till now I am afraid not having made any expereence with it - I only read the PP-manual and assume that it is a very enjoyable program - but till Friday I will not have enough practice to do all the things: Manage PP. Online-Flying and have the skills to fly the large plane in an acceptable manner.

So I'll join you next year.

Thanks Javier, I did not notice it until you not mentioned. BTW, I would recommend 12.8 and 15.0 Z coordinates, otherwise the gears sink too much into the ground (at least on tarmac)

I am uploading the plane again with the new settings ;)
