EHM-0471 Peter:
Hey guys, this will be a tight business down there in Africa. Our birdie MD 17 UNHCR is lovely aircraft, but bring him up or lay down to the grass piloting manually.....woooow! But....the show must go on!!!

Peter

EHM-1980 Brian:
you guys have me worried bout this now..... :s   - i'm gonna practise the first leg tonight and see whether or not i'll be ok - i think i'll be grand..... i hope i'll be grand ;)

EHM-1883 Matt:
Hey, Brian. I just did the first two legs. I found the grass runway more of a challenge to line up with rather than land.

My advice for Grass runways is get in line WAY before you land. While landing, go very slow, and make sure you are prepared for a very fast stop!

I find the take-off very very hard for the grass runway, but you need to go even further before the runway starts, keep the parking brake on as you power up, and then unleash the power! You can manage to do it, but Practise makes perfect!
