PMDG Beechcraft
EHM-1997 Alexander:
From the looks of things, these are compatable with FSX so purchasing will give a good life on the plane (past 2004 which I'm still using for performance reasons) but here's my question:
The 1900C looks like thier newer and better value product (since it has 3 variations) I presume they tweaked everything a little from the 1900D.
Does the EHM repaint fit the 1900C and Is it allowable to use the 1900C instead of the 1900D?
What are peoples thoughts on these aircraft (those who have them, I'm especially interested to hear from people who have played with both).
I'm moving back to class one as I've had enough with the Dornier (after managing to scrape one along the runway on touchdown under PP) - added all the patches, tweaks and panels to the plane from the forums but while improving the handling, it did nothing for the landing gear partially failing to raise or drop correctly (either the rear two or nose depending). I'm convinced we've been scrimping on fuses for the plane because it happened just about every test flight.
EHM-1001 Robert:
Well, if I understood correctly the C variant is a cargo airplane, while D is the passenger version (came from Domestic I guess). I have not tried the textures, but I guess the animations and a whole lot of things differ on C from D.
Any other experiences ?
EHM-1997 Alexander:
In the PMDG 1900C package, there is a Cargo, Freight and Passenger variant. They also do an older 1900D package with only a passenger variant.

In that case I should be able to get the 1900C package and use the passenger variant for EHM flights?
EHM-1465 Dominic:
I've got both of them and while it's true that the C variant is the newer sim product, the plane itself is the older variant so the C has a steam dial cockpit while the D has a glass cockpit.
The PMDG C has three variants for passenger, freight and freight with extra hold under the fuselage models. The VC for both C & D is fairly similar to be honest so if you're going to get one I'd say stick with the D model as I'm pretty sure the EHM repaint won't fit the C model (although you might be able to if you're familiar with texture files).
As far as flying goes they are both nice planes, there's certainly nothing wrong with the flight model of the D, in fact the only thing that goes against it is that the panel is fairly rudimentary compared to PMDG's other planes - it uses some default gauges from the King Air. That said, for the price, the D is an excellent buy.
EHM-1997 Alexander:
Definately worth the (small amount of) money as an improvement from the freeware EHM Beech then in your opinion?
