Fokker 70 warning light

<< < (2/3) > >>

EHM-1994 Michelle:
It has three settings I thought (or I am confused with the BRK):
- out
- blinking = after landing they will be deployed
- on = in-flight deployment

EHM-1465 Dominic:
Jim,

I think you're referring to the middle one of the five buttons as it's the only one without a tooltip - from left to right in this row you have:

1. Stall warning STL
2. Overspeed warning - OVS
3. FDN button
4. Lift dumpers - LDP
5. Airbrakes - BRK

If it's the LDP button then your answer is in the posts above ;D

If it's the FDN button I'm not sure what this stands for but I've done some tests and it seems to light up when the aircraft is not in trim - if you set a high climb rate it will go on while the autopilot tries to get to the correct attitude to climb then go off when the aircraft is back in trim. Similarly if you set up a deliberate stall with low airspeed during a climb, as the speed bleeds off the light will come on.

I think it's a visual reminder to the pilots to check their Autopilot/Flight Director settings (is this what the FD stands for I wonder..?) when there is an out-of-trim or abnormal flight condition.

I've Googled it too but can't find a specific answer...

Hope that helps!

EHM-1651 Christian:
It might be a Alpha floor system that just warns you that you are nearing a the flight envelope.

But i can't find it on the real Fokker 70 cocpit

EHM-1001 Robert:
It is a warning light, and it is input is a special sensor in the mouse. FDP stands for Frightened Depressed Pilot ! :P

EHM-1994 Michelle:
FDN: Flight Dynamic warning light. Will lit on when aircraft goes into stress-mode (i.e. steep turns )
