Lisbon - Madeira with Peter!

Last night me and peter made a very nice flight from LPPT-LPMA...
I took the LDS Boeing 767-300ER because it is very versatile, and it is smooth to land at hard airports like Madeira...

Departing, Peter is at the HP of RWY03



Peter taking off in his heavy Airbus A330...



Climbing to FL370




Descending...



Madeira is packed, RallyeAir event on at the time...



A bit high but its windy;)




Parked Peter was on downwind at this point...he made a perfect landing!!

This was very nice invitation from Razza and we made a final deal within a few minutes via Msgr.
The flight was super, except Lisbon ATC ctr. who couldn't understand I am flying a different FP than Razza. Razza landed perfectly, but I had another collision of some sort with Madeira app ATC, who extended my right downwind almost to Gran Canaria, before I got the permission to turn right. Problem was that Razza on ground was left uncontrolled, so after my landing it was hard to get some beer in pilot's cantina. No offence Razza!

It's a complete disaster when there is no beer in the Cantina :o- seem to remember being in the same situation with Peter on landing at NZCH........Perhaps we should invest in decent (filled) hip flasks for such dire post landing emergencies.;D  Nice pictures and well done all.

Lastly congratulations to Peter on his appointment  as H.C. at LGAV.
