Officially it is RJGG...but I found it also officially as RJNN. The name is "Chubu Centrair International Airport", and it is near Kansai, and it is a similar artificial island, as Kansai, with 1 runway.

Perhaps, we can use Kansai instead ? What do you think Bruno ???

Hector, I fear Bruno is not going to reply in time for you to complete the flight. I would personally suggest you fly to RJNN and file that but if this is still a problem we will extend the legs so you can fly it at a later date. Please do not despair, we will resolve the issue so you can make the flight.

Thanks for the reply Phil.
I was thinking that it should not be difficult to change to RJNN in ProPilot.
I have the RJGG leg locked, I will land in the same airport but with a different name.
Now I remember sometime ago there was like a NOTAM about the change in names in several airports on that area. will try to get more info.
Anyhow, I will go today and hope the situation is solved.
Regards,
Hector

No way to fly the leg to Nagoya. Even though I get the leg locked, when I tried to get PP started and clicked on RJGG as the destination, I got this message:
"Run-time error 3021
Either BOF of EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted.
Requested operation requieres a current record."
Did it several times and also with RJNN but to no avail.

So, as mentioned before today was my last chance to fly the leg. Hope Management can give me an extension on the tour. I would hate to be out at this stage.
Regards,
Hector

I will see to it that the legs get extended as I am now also stuck in VIDP. We will get this solved and extend the leg by 1 week to allow pilots to make the flight.

OK,

I have made some change to the database. Please ensure you UNLOCK YOUR CURRENT FLIGHT from VIDP-RJGG. Lock the flight again, you should now notice it is VIDP-RJNN which is in FS. You should UPDATE your flight logger before selecting the new flight. I have extended the deadline by 1 week and also the next leg deadline has been extended by one week also. (RJNN-ZSPD)

Please let me know if you have any more problems,

Sorry and regards,
Phil

At this time, Sep 29 at 14:41Z I am in Santiago de Chile waiting for my plane to Panama City and then Maracaibo, Venezuela expecting to land there on Sep 30 at 03:00Z so my only chance to fly from VIDP to RGNN will be Monday. However I will do my best to do it tomorrow family permit provided.:]
So I would appreciate extending my time to complete this leg.

Hector

Hi Hector :] ,

although I don't fiddle at all with PP or the events, I would be reassurec by Murray's posts above and surely Monday should be OK to fly the leg.

See you in Japan,
Sotiris

I have extended this as per my post above, This leg and the next leg have both been extended by 1 week, you will have until next saturday to catch up with this leg and then one further week to perform the next leg... Be warned though, we will be back on schedule after that and you will need to complete the 3 legs from Shanghai to Brazil in the alloted time before 20-10-2007.

Well I just arrived in Japan, better late than never and with the PMDG FMS not having RJGG in the database and FS2004 not having RJNN in the scenery it made for a fun final 20 minutes. As the FMS lined me up for an approach to a runway that quite obviously wasnt there, I decided to go Visual seeing as the conditions were ok.... So I was stick flying the beast at about 160kn at 2,000 feet for 20 miles whilst I turned on to the approach for RJGG and then bought her in visual.

I have been watching a lot of videos on You Tube lately and found this video very helpfull:

after watching the small and precise corrections to the stick in the A340, I was trying to mimick those types of movements in the sim as the xwind was trying to take me off course. Yes I know the video was from an A340 and I was flying a B744F, but it is the principle of making very small but sharp corrections to the aircraft that I was trying to mimick... Anyway, I found it so much easier this way to get the beast down with no beads of sweat on my forehead and a distinct sense of accomplishement!

What a fantastic F1 season!!!!!

Lately F1 spent all the time thinking about the spystories etc, but now that's over and it is going to be a great GP in Brasil!!!!

We just have 5 flights remaining! We have 30 hours of flight time between us and Geneve!! ;)
Safe landings to you all!! :8

Hey guys, it seems that the FIA website says that the Brazilian Grand Prix this year is sheld at the usual Sao Paulo's Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit lAutódromo José Carlos Pace and not at Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet as shown in the PP Event page, anyone knows anything about this? :s

Hi Javier,

What does it mean ? That we need to change the landing airport ?

If so, please check out what airport is suitable for it (don't forget to check the runway length) please. We will change it accordingly.

Regs and thanks.

just did a quick research, i dont think the destination has to be changed since both airports in Sao Paulo are unable to take the 747 and the next closest would be Rio de Janeiro :]

Javier,

Sao Paolo Guarulhos Airport surely must take 747's 'cause I went there in one!

Furthermore runway 09L/27R has a 3'700m 12'140ft long runway which should be adequate for a 747 (I hope).
Also have a look at the Wikipedia relevant link

so Guarulhos must surely be OK.

Sotiris, you're right, i guess when i looked at the wikipedia page of the airport, i mistook the runway length for something else or missed it completely :] both runways should be able to take the 747 from my landing experiences in the event and since theres not much cargo in this leg, it should be no problem landing there.

Hi All
I have been informed by a pilot at Sao Paolo Guarulhus Airport that 09L/27R
has been closed, hence the reason for our confusion.:]

:'( It's so sad you have to leave us with just 3 flights remaining!! :[

I think that all the people that made it up to London (which was Half way) should have an award :|

Hi,

Well, it's kind'a complex Paolo ... if we open that option, later we will have to open it again.

But maybe we can think about that for the next year. Maybe on long events, we could have the 3 award types too.... Remember us again next year ;)

I've just finished the leg, I was so nervous at the end because of my internet connetion! The FL was showing me just a white page and I pressed 4 times the "Submit Pirep to EHM" and the result is that I submitted it 4 times :o
Is it possible to remove 3 of them (lol not 4 of them) from my flights on PP? :%
Thanks, Paolo

hi paolo! there's a PIREP Mistake Raport button at your pilot profile where you can report that you've sent the Pirep to many times, i've done that some time, i'm think that you can fill in that form and get the three other Prierps canceled... :] great work completing the F1 event!
