EHM-1821 Javier:
Hi Sotiris,
i havent tried yet but im flying it via Saudi on thursday. i have my sim rates always set on unlimited, and the frame rates started dropping when i reached within 1hr to the crash on my last attempts, all online though
I think i'll fly PP just in case i can get through and i will be able to send the PIREP
Thanks :)
EHM-1500 Jim:
Just a word of warning to you all that i have learnt the hard way!!
If you use real world weather with 15 min updates then dont leave your pc unattended for a second ! I did this on the second leg, left cockpit for no more than 20 mins to have some tea and when i got back there was a real weather update error message which caused real world weather to turn off causing sudden change in wind at FL350 leading to an overspeed and aircraft overstress!!
My advice, dont use real world weather and autopilotunless you can sit at your pc for 5 hours with out leaving.
Enjoy the event guys - i'm out but will be keeping up with all your progress.
Jim :'(
EHM-2029 Sotiris:
That sounds so unfair/unlucky...
I feel for you mate. So early in the event.
Thanks for the advice!
EHM-0948 Bruno:
Jim,
You still can pick one spare airplane from the list.
Guys, I think we are misunderstanding one thing. When we say that we don't have spare airplanes for you, it means that after the first leg deadline passed you cannot get another airplane from the list because all of the source airplanes will be locked down on the first airport.
On this case, you still can pick up another airplane until 17th March. After that, you must end the event with the airplane that you have.
So, Jim, pick another airplane, and send me an email so I can reserve it for you.
Regards,
EHM-2029 Sotiris:
Well, finally in Melbourne safe and sound.
Considering my inexperience on the type, I'm mighty happy to have made thus far!
I noticed something though and wonder if the rest of you noticed.
Although I hit no significant head winds the bird's consumption was somewhat more than I expected by quite a percentage.
Has anyone else experienced this, or was it just my bad planning (fuel-wise)?
