Thanks Peter,

that was a very useful and enlighting post esp. for those of us who have little experience on the 747.
Did a few landings at the first leg's arrival and it's true you need much more forward planning and anticipation than with other planes.

Hi pilots, I'm flying right now the first leg and I am travelling at 536knots, so I am going to be able to finish the leg in about 5 hours, but I'm doing it offline, so during the fly-in you'll spend around 6 hours ;)

I just remembered, the VATSEA Event is on the date and time, so i wont be flying with you guys, have fun! im gonna fly it now :]
