Landing at Hong Kong VHHH

(1/2) > >>

EHM-1612 Paolo:
Hi pilots! Today I tried some crosswind landings around Hong Kong, taking off from the old airport and landing at the new one (VHHH). I set the weather with 37knots wind from 220, 1/2 mile of visibility and heavy rains  (just to have more fun ;) )...but then FS AI ruined everything :]

My Airbus landing at VHHH

And then...

I decided not to go around just because I didn't want to repeat once more the landing procedure (especially with that weather), and I landed far from that A340, trying to leave the rwy asap. I think the A340 was very angry at me...;D
It tried to take off while I was taxiing out of the rwy! I used full throttle but that didn't help (the A340 was rotating)...

And then...BOOM

AI aircrafts are so stupid! :]
Hope you like these photos,
Ciao!

nice pics, bad weather :]

EHM-1465 Dominic:
Paolo,

Great pictures but a nasty outcome ;)

Have you tried using AISmooth? It's a freeware utility by Michael Sagner that helps cut down on traffic conflicts, worth downloading (from avsim) to help your flights stay safe ;D

Not sure if it affects aircraft taking off but I know it's good for others on approach at the same time as you...

EHM-1945 Christophe:
Hi Paolo, Nice shots and bad story. I use AI Smooth as indicated by Dom, and I use as well RC v4. It manages AI traffic as well

Cheers
Kristoff

EHM-1612 Paolo:
Thx guys for the suggestions, I'm going to download that program as soon as possible :8
