Disappointe- Is anybody reads the PIREPS?
EHM-2096 Evan:
Dear Sirs.
I am quite new pilot in EuroHarmony. It is the first time for me as a pilot in a virtual airline, so I am not familiar with the procedures.
I am flying very frequently, but nobody reads my PIREP. Since Friday, my PIREPS were not checked. So I am waiting for the hours to be added, and I still sending new PIREPS without advancing in the company.
Please, I will be delighted to have an answer, on this matter.
Regards,
Evan Kirou
EHM-1442 Luis:
Hi Evan
I'm not part of the management, but i saw in your profile the last pirep with the date of 23/04/2007 (KMIA-KATL), monday,..did you check that?
If you use the Flight Logger the time is automaticly add to your flyied hours.
Hope this help you.
EHM-2096 Evan:
Indeed...Apparently after my email they may checked them.
I will try the other way. Thank you
EHM-2029 Sotiris:
Hello Evan,
you can use the Flight Logger while you fly (downloads and manuals on the EHM homepage) and so the pireps will be filled in automatically and once you submit them they will be accepted immediately.
Manual Pireps are checked by the hub managers. All of them (much like us) have a life outside of EHM and as such they are kind enough to volunteer their time and effort for this wonderful airline.
Hence, I would give them 7 days time for them to check them and surely, if you had no joy during the 7 days then Bruno (our President) and Phil (our CEO) will see that your Pireps are checked.
Last resort, would be to change to a different hub but I would not recommend that as all hubs have very enthusiastic and committed captains.
We're all here to help you with your questions.
EHM-0654 Murray:
Evan,
Welcome to the VA first off, we hope you'll enjoy your time here. Oh, and I am a part of the MT :)
PIREP "chasing" should be directed to your hub chief (Jonathan Rassmussen - or Razza as he prefers - jonathan@fly-euroharmony.com), but I know full well that he is just hitting the end of his exams; hence he's very busy in the real world and much of his hub duties are necessarily being covered for him by the other MT members. Rest assured, while Razza isn't able to devote all his time to his management responsibilities, they are being covered and PIREP checking shouldn't be much more than a day or two behind (care to comment next time you're about Razza???)
Now then, as Luis correctly points out, you are probably far better off making use of the Flight Logger (look on the front page of the "main" website - direct link is http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/flightlogger/3.0.8/FLLoggerPP.exe) since this "bypasses" the manual checking step of the hub chiefs and your flight hours are credited immediately. The installation is pretty simple and self-explanatory, but if you hit any snags, don't be afraid to ask.
