Touch and Go?

(1/1)

EHM-1358 Tim:
Just wondering becauise I have never done a touch a go. So what is a touch and go. I think I know what it is but im not totally sure.

EHM-1001 Robert:
Touch and go in my explanation is, when you land a plane on the runway, let it touchdown with all wheels but do not break or lose speed, and after some seconds gain speed, until rolling and takeoff again.

It is a good practice for approach procedures, lining up with the glide slope, practicing touchdown, and practicing takeoff, climbing, so procedured like SID or STAR.

EHM-0588 Paul:
You touch the runway with the landing gear but instead of stopping you take off again. Its use is to practice landing.

EHM-1343 Jonathan:
Couldn't of put it better myself.

You should try it tim. I do it all the time to familiarise myself with a new plane, and ts good fun
