Flogger problems
EHM-1838 Andrew:
I have recently completed three flights, and on each occasion i have not been able to pirep with flogger. For instance tonight i completed flight 9032 from eddf to essa and again i had problems with flogger. It seemed to show the recorded start time and finish time as the same ie no flight recorded. This is VERY frustarting i have completed over ten hours of flight time and have been credited with no hours.
Should i uninstall present flogger and try reinstalling it?
The whole idea of using Flogger was to do away with fiddling about with pen and paper, but it dosnt always seem reliable.
cheers Andy

Just a quick simple point in case it is what is happening to you.
If you turn your engines off after you turn them on for the first time (i.e. switching your aircraft, resetting your flight or just turning them on and off) make the logger stop logging further.
I believe it also happens if as you take-off you touchdoen briefly before continuing with your take-off.
In both cases you may have problems. Otherwise you need to ask the 'wise men' for your problems.
EHM-1703 Philip:
Andrew,
I know you are frustrated but I am not aware of any problems like this so please bare with us, this is a new problem that seems unique to you and your system.
OK, you have not wasted the hours, file them manually while we try and sort the problem out....
Next, please can you give me a little detail about the flights.... flight Number, Departure, Destination and Aircraft as well as any other details you can tell me.
As Sotiris says, this problem could be to do with you starting the flogger with the engines running or taxiing too fast, please can you give us a brief rundown of how you start the flogger and your flight.
We will try and solve this for you as fast as we can although I am still at work and Bruno is away for a while so it make take a while.

AH HA!Now this rings a bell.I think i had this problem before. When taking off in the 747 for instance to try to avoid those horrible POSKY effects when you bang your tail on takoff i would probably try to climb at too shallow an angle and briefly touch down again thus causing a failure in flogger .
I know there is probably nothing wrong with FLOG and its probably my fault.Apologies to all for being grim and horrid.
cheers Andy

np mate, just let us know if this is an ongoing problem so we can try to solve it. If the POSKY is giving you trouble and you love the heavy metal, have a look around on EBAY for a boxed copy of QOS, (PMDG 744) I saw one go for 12 quid the other week... Well worth it if you ask me!
