LFPG - EGLL with my mate as the captain

(1/3) > >>

EHM-1383 Syed:
This was the greatest flight I ever had at Euroharmony so far! I found out that my mate living right next to my apartment is registered on this site (EHM 1440 - Huzaifa) and he is a better pilot than me too, he teached me many things...even using the Autopilot! :P

So today he just came over my house to discuss about a graphics card he just bought and we thought that it'd be cool to fly for Euroharmony right now. He's a Turboprop Captain and I'm a STC (that's because I joined EHM way earlier than him) and we decided to fly a class 2 flight 2003 LFPG - EGLL on our favourite class 2 plane - The Antonov. I loaded up FS Screen and took the following screenshots to share with y'all. :)

I actually wanted to take a pic during takeoff but just forgot it, so I thought It'd still be good to take that shot because the place where we departed from can be seen behind...a bit far. (LFPG) We were overspeeding because we thought the A/T was on but actually it wasn't.

Huzaifa (EHM-1440) took the following shot while we were cruising. He likes flying in areas where there are clouds..lots of em - The big round ones. :P

Goodbye Paris!

Huzaifa was supposed to land the plane at EGLL but he left because he had to go out with his Parents to someplace. So now I was the one who was going to land, and I did a very nice and smooth landing on Heathrow airport. (To EHM-1440: Haha, now that's what we call a GOOD landing..right on the centerline, not on the farmers field! ;D)

Then I taxiied the plane at the gate while thinking about the great landing I just made better which was even better than the ones EHM-1440 does. Then I shut off the engines and let the passengers off the plane.

I think Huzaifa has not figured out how to post on the forum yet, so I'm now going to shut down my PC and go to his house to teach him how to do that. ;)

It was really fun! Euroharmony rules! :>

EHM-1358 Tim:
Wow there very nice. Just one thing. The ground, I have no idea whathappend but looks like you didnt let it load, oh well still very nice ;D

EHM-1001 Robert:
Very nice screenshots, and an amazing Hollywood story ;) ;D

I guess those ground effects came from low amount of memory or video driver bug, this was discussed back some times.

A real world question : In reality, what a co-pilot does in the cockpit, when the captain is "operational" ? For example is he doing the radio communications?

EHM-0001 Gergely:
Very nice! It's very useful to have a copilot, especially in online flights (where he can do the communication and interpret charts while you're focusing to the navigation).

Congrats! :D

EHM-1383 Syed:
Thanks for the comments. :)

I think the ground looks weird because I set the settings to low because high details make the game slow. It's because of the Graphic card or the RAM or both.

Specs:
Intel Pentium 4
2.00 GHz
256 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9200 128 MB SE

I know my graphics card is old but usually new things over here in Saudi Arabia come very late. The latest ATI Radeon card, 9800, is available in the markets just from a few weeks ago over here. And the local shops prices are double of the prices I've  seen on Internet. I hope my dad will get a credit card soon.
