F16 accidently acceeds Mach 1 close to my home.

Today I heard two very loads KABOEMS. I asked a couple of my friends they heard the same thing.

It turned out two F16 jet-fighters needed to intercept a unidentified plane above Zeeland. They flew from Leeuwarden so it was quite a journey. They trottled up as hell but accidently acceeded mach 1 above Almere. I live in Diemen so I also heard a very loud bang :o

They were on urgent matters for sure because they can't pass Mach 1 on terrain grounds....

It's a relief to know the KABOOM represented the fighters GOING for an interception and not the interception ITSELF ;D

That is, I hope the other plane was eventually and successfully identified.
