The most stupid thing to do during an EHM event

EHM-1821 Javier:
Thanks Robert!!

Now just to clarify, do i have to use the 1st waypoint in the INS to click the coordinates for updating it or can i use any of the 9?

can i only use a waypoint that i have passed?

and can i use a VOR/DME thats a waypoint along my route or do i have to use a VOR/DME not in my route?

Thanks!

EHM-1001 Robert:
Javier,

You must use a VOR DME station, because the INS will update its position from the radio signals it receives through the NAV radios. It is preferrable to use a VOR station offside your route, because the distance changes more slowly than it would be along your route. The updating is advised at every some 500 nm. Therefore we inserted the green UPD rows to the flightplan with an available VOR station, so you do not need a map to look for one. ;)

EHM-2244 Sven:
Thanks for sharing the links explaining how to use the INS.
Worked fine and I also used the INS for the first time. This event seems promissing I already liked the first two legs.

Here are two screenshotsfrom my ESSA -> EKCH leg.

Thanks and cheers

That should be the Oresund Bridge connecting Denmark with Sweden.

Cheers Sven
