B777

(1/1)

EHM-2383 Ian:
Hi

Has anyone else experienced any problem with the Melget B777 in FS9? I have just downloaded this and have been trying it out. When the aircraft levels out after climb it starts to  "porpoise" eg. on autopilot at 8000ft it climbs to around 8200ft and then descends to around 7800ft ..........and so on, up and down!!

Ian

EHM-2272 Callum:
How fast are you going? Are you using acceleration? How fast are you climbing? All these factors could mean the aircraft is climbing so fast that when it reaches say 7900ft it would have to slam down to level off so it goes above, then does the same on the descent so goes below etc. This may not neccesarily be an error with the aircraft... :8

EHM-1001 Robert:
It also depends on load. Autopilot algorithms are very complex and sometimes hard to find a good overall setup. I found many airplanes during my career which tend to vertically bouncing at low altitude after takeoff: while very heavy. ;)

EHM-2383 Ian:
Have tried it out again, this time at higher altitudes. Seems to be more stable there. Looks like problem has to do with low altitudes and perhaps the aircraft carrying a heavy load of fuel after take-off as you suggest.
