EHM-2309 Joshua:
I have installed Concorde, and the new flight dynamics, and the plane is unflyable. Even with autopilot on, it takes on a mind of its own. Please help...
EHM-1465 Dominic:
Joshua,
What sim are you using? What weight and payload are set? I've used our Concorde for a long time in FS2004 with no problems so we may need a bit more detail to identify what the problem is that you're experiencing ;)
EHM-2309 Joshua:
Ok, I am using FS9 on XP. I have an empty plane with fuel in the wings set at 100% and in the main fuselage set at 85%. As reccomended in the Concorde SST file. I follow this file properly, not missing out any steps so that it should work. The CG is fine when I take off, and after about 1 minute of climb (just over 3500ft) it slowly starts to veer off to the left. It is the uncontrolable. I have the up-to-date flight dynamics, and by using both the FS2002 files, have managed to control this, however, they are the 2002 files, and not the 2004 files.
EHM-1465 Dominic:
I'm not sure why the plane would veer off to the left - this would normally indicate uneven thrust from the engines or really strong winds, but wind doesn't normally affect Concorde at full thrust :o
When you say about both FS2002 files, do you mean the air file and aircraft cfg files? It's a while since I set up my Concorde so I'm not sure which files exactly you are referring to...
I'm not sure if this problem has happened before - have you searched the Forum for similar posts? At the moment I'm a bit puzzled as to what's causing this...
EHM-2309 Joshua:
I have searched the forum for similar posts, and I did find one. That is where I got the idea to change the 2004 .cgf and .air files for the 2002 and ones. This is one of the posts:
