Approach video on youtube
EHM-2155 Mariano:
Hey peoples...
I was flying FSPassengers the other day and the speedometer just started reading 0...
I declared emergency but continued flying cos it wasnt a life threatening thing. Flight continued to Tampere, the ATC designated a visual approach on a very foggy afternoon, hard headwinds but a bit of sidewind component. By the time I had visual on the runway, I was too high and too fast so here's what happened.
Put a bit of an advertisement for our VA at the end, if it brought 1 new pilot, it's worth it.
Comments and ratings are welcome both in youtube and here. Cheers!
EHM-1465 Dominic:
That's a great video Mariano, thanks for making and sharing it with us ;)
It is very smooth too compared to many other videos I've seen captured on fraps for instance - what software did you use? Do you have a super fast PC?
If you're interested in making any more videos perhaps we could discuss some ideas as I really feel videos are a fantastic way to advertise the VA and we could use someone with such a talent ;)
EHM-2155 Mariano:
Hey Dom
First of all thanks for the interest
It is indeed Fraps, my comp is fast enough for FS9 to record and all but it's not fast enough for FSX heehe ^^
It could get choppier with a busier airport I guess... since I use quite a bit of World of AI airplanes flying around all the time.
To edit I used CyberLink PowerDirector.
If I can help with anything, surely let me know. The only downside is that sometimes I'm away from my "gaming rig" which is the one I sim at, having only my laptop available (which funnily is where I do the editing).
EHM-1465 Dominic:
So Fraps can produce a smooth video after all ;D
How long does it take to record and edit a video like that? I guess the editing's the long bit...
I'll send you an e-mail so we can discuss what other videos you might be 'persuaded' to make ;D ;D ;D
EHM-2155 Mariano:
Heheh ! It must have taken me an hour or so to do this short one... but I'm sure we can do something more ambitious...!
I'll see what I can think of and contact you back
