Volcanic ash closes airports in Northern Europe
(1/1)
EHM-1465 Dominic:
For those of you that like to mimic real world operations and restrictions when flying for EHM, have a look at these pages from the BBC News website:-

It looks like other hubs than ESSA, EHAM or EGLL will be better for your flights for a couple of days ;)
Alternatively of course, you can just set your weather settings to Cumulonimbus up to 60,000 ft with very heavy turbulence and 'engine failures' to very probable :D
EHM-2387 Eric-Jan:
Iceland did not get it:
We want your Cash, not your ash ...
;D
(Sorry, just couldn't resist. No harm intended :))
EHM-1465 Dominic:
Well, British Airways sent a Jumbo up into the ash cloud for a couple of hours and declared that they don't know what all the fuss is about! Nothing to do with how much money they're losing this year of course ;)
Not to be outdone, EuroHarmony has also sent a B747 up into the cloud to test out whether the airspace ban is unnecessary... I'll leave you to judge the results for yourselves but Rolls Royce were not impressed!
