EuroCargo takes on the Volcanoes !

Hi Franz,

Indeed the Flight logger needs an update to get both the leg flight and the aircraft, it's not the standard B744F but a variation of it - a visually customized variation thanks to Robert's work.

It seems that due to this incomplete setup, FL3 did not "see" you departing so technically you were just sitting quiet at EGLL. In FL3, the visual clue of a flight being actually recorded is the enabled "Stop Log" button (which no one wants ever press of course). I hope I made this "recording or not, this is the question" more obvious in FL4 but it's not released yet.

Anyway I think we can indeed fix your aircraft for the next leg. Let me check...

Well, I just landed leg 2 in the Congo and d**n! Hit a thunderstorm on arrival. Put her down nice and slow, right on the numbers and thrust reversers, spoilers, plus maximum brakes wasn't quite enough. Just overran at the end.

You'll be as glad as I to know that the aircraft sustained no damage and that 5 1/2 hour flight was successful.

I have a video of it, might throw it together and stick it up on youtube ;)

EHM-1997 Alexander:
... and here it is

REX clouds can be seen at the start

RCortez:
Very impressive video :o, very difficult to land as I see, I don't know how to do it, maybe tomorrow. What is your secret to land like that.

Thanks for your comments please. :)

EHM-2097 Andrei:
Franz,

I see Dom has already validated your PIREP, unfortunately one that is manually submitted cannot count as a PP flight.

However this should not be a problem, I moved (database-wise) your airplane to LGSA and I think this should be enough for you to continue the event. Please try to lock the second leg and post again if you encounter any difficulties.

Andrei
