Horrible things are happening
EHM-2097 Andrei:
Hi all,
My FS9 is in deep... trouble and I don't have any clue what to do. It starts, shows the splashscreen for 20 secs or so, and then shuts down without any message, warning or the such.
After this happened for the first time yesterday, I got mad and spent half of the night to reinstall FS + a lot of necessary stuff. After doing so, everything was going on normally but today the same happens again!
Is there any means of getting a log or crash report from FS9 so that I can have an idea which is the offending add-on - if any?
Any help would be much appreciated. It's finding a solution or quitting the flight simulation business...
Thanks
Andrei
EHM-1997 Alexander:
Where were you flying when the crash happened? Might be a corrupted scenery file.
EHM-2097 Andrei:
Don't think so (I only use TWO sceneries, for EHAm and LROP :) ) but thanks for mentioning it, I will give it a try.
In fact nothing bad ever happened during flight, it's when starting FS. Moreover, it looks like the crash occurs quite early in the startup sequence, that is before loading the current situation and the such.

[EDIT] It's not the scenery indeed, after I manually disabled add-ons in scenery.cfg, FS9 rebuilt its index database THEN stopped.
EHM-1997 Alexander:
What did you change before the issue started?
EHM-1465 Dominic:
My FS9 started to quit before fully loading after I installed FSX - there was a conflict between the registry entry for the new Flight Simulator location and one of my addon payware aircraft for FS9 which meant it shut down FS9 before it loaded. But I did get an error message...
Have you installed any new addon planes recently?
