New for 2011: Beechcraft B1900D with VC

<< < (2/4) > >>

EHM-2381 Ted:
I loaded this up for a test flight this evening and for the first time ever the main instrument gauges are blank. The outlines are there but in both the VC and 2D cockpits no display.

I have not had this issue before-any ideas?

Cheers

Ted

p.s. Nice looking cockpit and aircraft by the way.

**edit**I just had a look at the folder within FSX. Panel folder only contains a panel .cfg file. WIN Xp Home SP3 FSX Gold with acceleration. All other payware and freeware aircraft working fine.

EHM-1465 Dominic:
Hi Ted,

My, that's an odd one! The panel folder contains everything - panel.cfg, bitmaps and gauges - so I can only guess something's gone astray during installation, not sure how though.

Please download the installer again and install it to a fake location such as C: Dummy Folder (you'll need to create a folder for this). Then check that folder and see whether the panle folder still only has the cfg file in it. Let us know the result please, the installer should work fine as it was all tested before release ;)

EDIT - Just rechecked the download and it's all there. Please could you confirm for me Ted whether you have previously installed the earlier Mike Stone version of the B1900D? If so, the aircraft folder to look in for the new version is "ehmv4-fleet-B1900D" - te earlier version does not have the D at the end and that one only has a panel.cfg within the panel folder...

EHM-2381 Ted:
Hi Dom,

I'm totally lost now.

I created a test folder and the installer extracted files as expected including gauges.

I reinstalled again to FSX....this time I see 2 seperate B1900 folders-one contains the basic .cfg panel file and the other folder contains the expected bunch of files. I deleted the folder without the 'D' extension (I checked my Firefox DL history and I never downloaded that package) and then ran FSX.

Same result....no functioning gauges and this is with only the folder labled '1900D.

I also notice that at the FSX selection screen there is only 1 B1900 to choose-not the two that are expected.

No idea what is wrong here to be honest. I don't have much in the way of add-on aircraft beyond the F1 ATR and an IRIS TwinStar.

All I can tell you is the full and correct file folder is showing in Sim Objects-Airplanes and my other aircraft appear to work as expected. It's no worries as I can still potter about in the SU-80 as needed. Maybe I should figure out how to make that a glass cockpit lol.....or at least a landing view that does not take me outside  :D

Do you have the show all variations box ticked?
