@ E-J - how big is the file when you recorded the entire flight with FSRecorder? Sounds like a great way to guarantee getting a full photographic record of a flight without having to leave the controls ;)

That's the fun part of it: only 6 MB for 4 hours of recording, with 1Hz sampling of my own plane, and 1/4 Hz sampling of all AI traffic (within range ~20nm).
Then playback later, or even play back as AI traffic, and fly the same route again with yourself, in formation :)

File size may grow with more options to record ticked. I have gear, flaps, rudder, aileron, throttle, engine, radios, lights ticked; all these get accurately played back. But if you land, and put on the parking brake, and then start playback, you will fly with your parking brake set (or worse: with your door open ;D).
Maybe you could even cheat, and record with all options set, and then play back with Flogger recording your playback as a perfect PP flight (after you had 73 chances to make that perfect flight  ;D ;D)

It's freeware!

That sounds excellent E-J, I'll definitely give it a go and tinker around with the options as you suggest, thanks :)

And the best possible combo is together with fraps, so you can first fly, wile concentrating on the numbers, and then playback and record to make a movie ;)

The best part of it, I think, is that it can also record AI traffic (IVAO traffic is AI traffic in FSX).
