A new tour in preparation

<< < (5/7) > >>

EHM-2097 Andrei:
Now if anyone wonders about the clues:

#1 "The second time, you do it twice" - Should be pretty obvious by now, for anyone who reads the tour announcement and details

#2 "2581" - This was indeed a reference to our colleague Dirk Uys, as he had recently completed the original world tour and expressed his feelings about it in the forum. This tour has been in preparation for a long time but releasing it now means a special message for Dirk: "no, it's not over, you have to start it all over again!" :)

#3 "Athens and Faranah" - That was a bit tricky. Athens is the starting and ending point of the tour. Faranah is where the two laps around the world cross, which means these are the (only) two places to be visited twice.

#4 "150" - I expected this to ring a bell for all who are familiar with the world tour

#5 "Really big."  - This should have rang an even louder bell. Note the final dot within the quote. The full quote is "The world is big. Really big." and it is the beginning of the tour description for the first Euroharmony world tour (a long time ago, before I joined for sure)

 ;)
And "all over the place" was also meant as a hint.
Of course " twice around the word" in two times 80 legs was also meant to point you in the right direction
;)

So nice, those little games ; D

EHM-2589 David:
Finally guessed  :P and thanks for the big gift ;D However I've a little question, is possible to fly the vfr or some of the vfr fllights with the DC-3 ??? and thanks again for the gift :D

EHM-1465 Dominic:
Hi David,

The choice of aircraft for the Double World Tour is yours - fly what you like as long as it is suitable for the trip distance and the runway length at each end!!!

EHM-2589 David:
Thanks Dominic, but the only problem is that the DC-3 doesn't appear in the aircraft list ???
