Well Rico not necessarily, because like many bands that have been around for a long time, YES has spilt up and the come together again a few times. Last that happen was in 1991, so you could have heard about them.
It's a funny thing that Razza mentioned Eric Clapton. One of YES first live performances was in Nov. 1968 as varm-up at Creams last concert. Clapton was a member of Cream from 66 - 68.

YES still exists, their last album was released in 2001 (Magnification).

I bought my first YES album last year (it was The Ladder, released in 1997), sincle then I have more than 30 albums (including Jon Anderson's solo albums, and his collaborations with Vangelis, Oldfield, Kitaro etc).

EHM-0361 Karsten:
If you think those names are funny then what about, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bachman-Turner Overdrive or Greatful Dead. Last band is by the way still active.
