DetailsOption 1 is any of the VOR-based non-ILS instrument approaches, I see now (after 5 attempts to finish 1 flight :o)

The information is only gathered to fill pilot statistics, a.t.m.. Just like fuel, cargo, and passengers.
So you cannot really do anything "wrong" there (except mess up your own stats ;))
