A 380

<< < (6/10) > >>

EHM-1358 Tim:
Well I dont think it needs that shorter runway. Because I landed at Kai Tak in a 747 and stopped in about 1/6 of te runway.

EHM-1524 Alex:
at first a while back i thought it would definitly win the skies the a380 but now i am not so certain i believe that all this fantasy of spacious bars etc is rubbish airlines want money so it will be a 900 seat all economy layout also i believe its usefullness only lies in long trips between major airports. Most airports wont provide for it. In conclusion i think we will  be seeing newer versions of the 747 for many years to come :) yay GO BOEING

EHM-1507 Manuel:
Newer Versions of the 747 defiinately are planned.
I read something about a stretched version, on what Boeing wants to test first building - sections for 7E7.

You´re right, the luxury - versions with bars and sofas and so on would be really rare in the skies.

But versions with less first - class, some business - class and many economy - class seats will compete with 747 in the future.

EHM-0744 Alex:
Yep, yesterday saw in the newspapers some digital photos of the supposed interior first class design and thought that it was all rubbish, I mean, the bar and all that... Never happens, when the 747 first came out there were photos of grand pianos and people playing them along with a bar and a cocktail service:s haven't seen that anymore, but then thats maybe just me. :] Alex, you are 100% correct in my opinion, companies will go for the most economical designs they can figure out, and maybe some luxuries will be included for the first years but that is sure to dimish.

This is not to say that on EHM 747's there is no grand piano along with in-flight live entertainment. ;D;D;D

EHM-1507 Manuel:
It´s true,  that it´s just an illusion that there would fly first class hotels through the sky, but in this times, you need somethig to get the people wondering about. If Airbus just announced "We´ve developed the biggest and most economical aircraft ever" no one would have had taken care about.

But if anyone is talking about the aircraft, and every newspaper and tv - news is full of it, it is an inducement for airlines to buy it and to provide passengers with that plane (not with that interiour, most passengers can´t afford).

In my oppinion, all that pics of the super-luxuy-bird were just an advertising strategy of Aribus.
