Dear pilots,
EHM is going to buy new airplanes next weekend.
Robert is already taking care of that, so, expect a fleet injection next weekend.

The Airbus, Boing, ATR, and other producers COE's must be extreemly happy at the moment with their sales to EHM, hope you got some nice discount's :>
-
Well, let's see ..
With 52 airplanes crashed surely we will get a discount ;D ...
-
Don't be surprised if they refuse to sell us any. With the recent accidents their share value has plummeted and several senior company executives have been seen to take the quick route from the roof garden to the ground. :o
They say there is no such thing as bad publicity - the airline industry is one of the exceptions.
-
BTW maybe we could add some orders for the B787 and the A350 so we could get some niceprice on them to.(Remember to place some big options on further aircraft)
Anyhow where do you get brand new Md-83's/11's and F-100/70.
-
yeah something like buy 50 plus options for 200 would be good :]
-
Oh yes, we need to insert some old models too. We are continuosly searching for some used aircrafts that are still in good shape and perform well. They are much cheaper than new ones, but still quite expensive for the company. Please, be more carefully, and read through your pilot manual once more ! ;)

Well you had better order another one! I have just trashed a 767-300 and I have no idea why. It was a normal approach to EGLL 27R and upon touchdown (IAS 152, Gear Down, Flaps Full, VS <600FPM) the simulator showed a crash. The flight logger became unresponsive and would not recover and I could not see what the cause of the crash was! Oh well, I suppose in real life I would be dead so what would I care what the cause was!
-
hmm...that's odd...i see no reason for the plane to crash unless you were landing in the open fields with trees :] but i think not ;) were there any sudden gusts that might have caused your plane to tip sideways and land awkwardly?
-
A VSI of 600 is quite a lot! Even 300 is too much. Try to aim for a VSI of 50-200 fpm when you are touching the ground.

Agree, 50 VSI would be perfect, 150 average, 300 and the passengers would be saying ouch.
-
Well I found the cause of my crash!
After talking to Bruno last night it would seem that I was stalling as the acars info was showing 97kn IAS. I checked this afterwards and did a couple of offline tests and noticed the speed brake was killing the speed by about 30 to 40 knots instantly. I was applying the speedbrake just before touchdown and it was causing me to stall instantly.
I presume this was because I had copied in an air cfg file that was for a 757 panel that I had installed and removed....... I never replaced the cfg file after going back to the default panel! DOH! After re-installing the the default EHM 767 all is working fine.
I think I will stick to the Airbuses, much more forgiving!
Cheers,
