For the second year, I'm part of the UK WorldFlight Team taking part in the 7 day charity fund raising marathon flying challenge around the world in a full size 747-400 cockpit simulator :)
If you're interested you can find out more & follow our progress via Trackers and webcam at THE 747 SIMULATOR SITE (http://www.747simulator.co.uk) or join in and fly along on VATSIM for part of the route.
Details of the other teams taking part and helpful downloads are available at the WORLDFLIGHT GROUP (http://www.worldflightgroup.com/) website.
It's a great deal of fun but we're also doing it to raise money for worthwhile charities around the globe so all donations will be very gratefully received :)

Good travels, Dominic!
And I wish you lots of sponsor money for the charities :)

Nice map E-J and thanks ;)

Another good one Dominic, could you tell us when or which legs are you planning to fly in the B747, maybe if some of us have a little time to fly by VATSIM and flying together one or more legs to the World-Flight 2012 ;D

Hi David, There is a planned schedule on the 747 Simulator website (link above) but its likely that each pilot's schedule will become more flexible as the week goes on due to fatigue and unexpected events, particularly as there are only 6 of us this year on the team :) So I'm not sure which specific legs I'll end up flying...
But by all means fly along with the main pack when the Roster shows me as airborne - we don't have a chat facility due to the way all the software is configured for a full size flight deck but it would be nice to hear an EHM callsign or two as we progress ;)

May the Force be with you Dominic
