Title: Framerate
Post by: EHM-2288 Glenn on November 16, 2008, 04:41:21 pm
Hi!

Just a question, maybe a dumb one, what means framerate? I don't understand that. Orginally FS2004 locks the framerate at 25 frames/sec. I did choose unlimited and now I got 65 frames/sec. Is that good, and what does it means, will I notice anything different?

Hi Glenn,

The framerates are the number of times the screen is refreshed per second. That is to say, a higher frames/sec value will give a very smooth picture, while a lower one will make the picture more 'jumpy'. As far as I know, the eye cannot physically see any difference after 25 framerates, and since higher framerate settings eat up your RAM, it's better to keep it on the default setting.

Then I'll put it back to standard. Locked on 25 framerates. Thanks for the answer Ben.

Yes, 25fps are the best on FS2004. And our eye can't see much more than that :)
